  5. 1) WHAT IS SHAREWARE?
  6.  
  7.   Shareware is a marketing method of computer software in which
  8.   the user has a chance to try the software before buying it
  9.   (Try-Bofore-You-Buy). The user can freely copy the shareware
  10.   version of the program and install it on his/her computer.
  11.   After the evaluation period (typically about 4 weeks), if the 
  12.   user decides that he/she likes the program and wants to use it,
  13.   he/she should register the program by sending the registration
  14.   fee to the program author.

  17. 2) WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I REGISTER?
  18.  
  19.   After you register PrimaSoft will send you a diskette (by mail)
  20.   with the registered version(s) of the program(s).
  21.   If you register on-line on the Internet (through our First Virtual
  22.   store) you will be able to download the registered version(s) of
  23.   the program(s) - in this case we will not send a disk by mail.

  26. 3) IF YOU DECIDE TO REGISTER ONE PROGRAM - SPECIAL OFFER?

  28.   If you decide to register for one program you can order any number

  41. 4) HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR MORE THAN 1 PROGRAM ON COMPUSERVE (THROUGH SWREG)
  42.    AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR SPECIAL OFFER?

  44.   Compuserve does not support discounted prices directly. There is a way
  45.   around this: just send us an e-mail message (our address is 74643,2635)
  46.   with a list of programs that you want to register for - we will tell you
  47.   how to do it (the procedure depends on the total price).

  49. 5) CAN I REGISTER USING MY CREDIT CARD?
  50.  
  51.   We don't accept credit cards at the moment. However we are
  52.   working on it. In the near future you will be able to register
  53.   over the phone using your VISA or Master Card.

  56. 6) WHERE CAN I FIND THE SHAREWARE VERSIONS OF ALL YOUR PROGRAMS?

  58. - on Compuserve the best place to look for our software is WinShare
  59.   Forum; just GO WINSHARE and do a Search by Contributor on 74643,2635;
  60.  
  61. - on America Online, use the KEYWORD function (under GO TO menu item).
  62.   Enter the keyword "WINDOWS FORUM" or "WIN", which will take you to the main
  63.   menu of the Windows Forum. Click on the Software Libraries button on 
  64.   that screen; on the next screen select the Software Search button. On the
  65.   resulting search form just type PRIMASOFT in the search box, press <ENTER>
  66.   and the file names will come up on a list.

  68. - on the Internet you can find our programs on a number of "anonymous"
  69.   ftp sites e.g. oak.oakland.edu, ftp.cica.indiana.edu, garbo.uwasa.fi,
  70.   ftp.fv.com, etc. Look for the files that start with "am_" and have a
  71.   ".zip" ending.

  74. 7) CAN I SAFELY ENTER MY DATA INTO THE SHAREWARE VERSION(S) OF YOUR 
  75.    PROGRAM(S)?

  77.   Yes, absolutely. To be on the safe side, however, you should backup your
  78.   data every once in a while. In most cases our data files have the name
  79.   DATA.DAT or at least DAT extension. In the case of Contact Book the data
  80.   file name is DATA.CNT. When you receive the registered version of the
  81.   program you can safely install it in the same directory as the shareware
  82.   version - in this case the shareware version of the program will be deleted
  83.   but the data file will be preserved. If you decide to install the registered
  84.   version into a different directory don't forget to copy the data file (if
  85.   you have already entered some data using the shareware version).

  88. 8) WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE SHAREWARE AND REGSITERED
  89.    VERSIONS OF YOUR SOFTWARE?

  91.   Assuming you have the latest shareware version of our software there
  92.   are no functional differences between the Shareware and Registered
  93.   versions. The Registered version will not display the Registration
  94.   Reminder screens and is not time-limited. We always send the
  95.   latest registered version of our software.

  98. 9) IS THERE A PRINTED MANUAL INCLUDED WITH YOUR REGISTERED VERSION?

  100.   No, we don't include any printed documentation. You will only
  101.   receive a short letter with Installation instructions. If you have
  102.   problems using our software try reading help messages - just click
  103.   with the right mouse button on different parts of the program.
  104.   Once you learn how to use one of our programs you should have no
  105.   trouble using all our other programs.
